Team Pulse Survey

A short, anonymous survey that tells a newsroom or media team how its people really feel about the work.

A team that is burning out does not say so in a meeting. The Team Pulse Survey asks a short set of questions about workload, leadership, tools and purpose, keeps every answer anonymous and reports in groups large enough to protect each person.

Run it once for a baseline or on a rhythm to see whether things are getting better, and bring the results back to the team with a plan.

How the work runs

4 steps. No surprises.

01

Agree the questions

A short set on workload, leadership, tools and purpose, in your own words where needed.

02

Collect

Anonymous answers, with no names and no way back to a person.

03

Report in groups

Results appear only where enough people answered to protect each one.

04

Close the loop

A summary and a guide, so the survey leads to something being done.

Honest edges

What this cannot tell you.

  • Groups below the minimum size are not reported
  • A survey shows feeling, not its cause
  • Free-text answers are summarised, never quoted if they could identify a person
Questions, answered

Straight answers.

Is it truly anonymous?

Yes. No names are collected, and results appear only for groups above the minimum size.

How long does it take to answer?

A few minutes. The set is short on purpose.

Can we repeat it?

Yes. A repeated pulse shows whether things are improving.
