Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
StatAxis is a digital media market intelligence and data services platform. This policy applies to the StatAxis website, public pages, account application and authenticated workspace operated under the StatAxis name.
StatAxis is operated by Kumud Ranjan, an individual developer based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.
Privacy contact: stax9@stataxis.org
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- When you apply for access: name, work email, mobile number, organisation, requested plan, stated purpose of use and account credentials.
- When you contact us: the information contained in your message and any contact details you choose to provide.
- When you use paid or commercial services, additional billing or transaction information may be collected by the payment or commercial provider used for that transaction.
Information collected when you use the website
- Technical request information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, requested URLs and basic security or error logs, where generated by our hosting and application infrastructure.
- Essential browser storage used to remember privacy/terms choices and, for authenticated users, session/access information required to keep the workspace signed in.
Measurement and public-source data
StatAxis may collect and process publicly available digital-media metadata and metrics from legitimate upstream sources, including YouTube, such as channel identifiers, video identifiers, publication information, timestamps, views, likes, comments, live/concurrent-audience observations and derived measurements. This data is used for measurement, comparison and intelligence functions rather than to identify private individuals.
3. How we use information
- To create, review and administer StatAxis accounts and access requests.
- To authenticate users and protect the service against abuse, fraud and unauthorised access.
- To provide dashboards, market intelligence, research, measurement and data services.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, secure and improve the website and application.
- To communicate service, security, account and administrative information.
- To meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations where applicable.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information as a business practice. We may disclose information to service providers that process it on our behalf and only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, such as hosting, database, infrastructure, security, communications, payment or other technology providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, security and integrity of StatAxis, its users or the public.
Public-source media data may be displayed or transformed in StatAxis products in accordance with applicable source terms and policies. We do not claim ownership over third-party content merely because it is measured or referenced by StatAxis.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The current StatAxis website uses essential browser storage for consent, preferences and authenticated login session only.
6. Google and third-party services
StatAxis uses the YouTube Data API Services for digital-media measurement and intelligence. Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and applicable YouTube API Services Developer Policies. We do not request or store YouTube passwords.
StatAxis also follows the applicable Google API Services User Data and Limited Use requirements. For information about Google's handling of personal information, see the Google Privacy Policy.
StatAxis does not use Google sign-in (OAuth) and does not access any user's YouTube account or private data; it reads public data only.
StatAxis also shows public figures of Facebook, Instagram and X accounts that belong to the channels it tracks: follower counts and the public reactions (likes, comments, shares and, where the platform gives them, views) to public posts. These are read only through each platform's official API, or from sheets supplied by the channel or entered by StatAxis staff. StatAxis does not use sign-in with these platforms, does not access any private account or private message, and never asks anyone for a platform password. Only the start of a post's text and its public link are kept.
7. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, meeting legal obligations and preserving legitimate business records. Retention periods can therefore vary by data type.
Account and application information is retained for as long as necessary to administer the account or application and then deleted or anonymised when no longer required, subject to lawful retention requirements.
StatAxis stores public YouTube API statistics (such as view counts, like counts, comment counts, subscriber counts and concurrent viewer counts), and metrics derived from them, for up to 36 calendar months, after which they are deleted. Other YouTube API data, such as video titles, thumbnails, categories, channel avatars and channel handles, is refreshed from the YouTube API at least every 30 calendar days; data that has not been refreshed within 30 calendar days is deleted or cleared. Channel display names shown by StatAxis are editorial labels maintained by StatAxis. Derived metrics, including the STX Index, are calculated independently by StatAxis and are not provided or endorsed by YouTube.
Public follower and post figures from Facebook, Instagram and X are kept on the same terms: figures and the metrics derived from them for up to 36 calendar months, and a post's text and link are cleared when the platform has not provided them again within 30 calendar days.
8. YouTube API data deletion and revocation
StatAxis does not use Google sign-in (OAuth) and does not access any user's YouTube account or private data; it reads public data only. The revocation steps below apply only if this changes in the future.
If StatAxis accesses or stores YouTube API Data associated with an authorised Google/YouTube user account, the user can revoke StatAxis access at any time from Google Security Settings. When access is revoked, StatAxis will revoke or invalidate the associated authorization and delete applicable stored authorised YouTube API Data as soon as possible and within the period required by YouTube API Services policies.
You may also request deletion of data stored by StatAxis by contacting stax9@stataxis.org. Deleting data held by StatAxis does not delete data held by YouTube; YouTube data must be deleted through YouTube or an authorised API Client that supports deletion.
9. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your StatAxis account and associated personal data by emailing stax9@stataxis.org with the subject “StatAxis Account Deletion”. We may ask for reasonable information to verify the request and protect the account.
When a valid deletion request is completed, we will delete or anonymise associated personal data that we are not required or permitted to retain. Certain records may need to be retained where required by law, for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legitimate accounting/business-record purposes.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and notify us promptly if they suspect unauthorised access.
11. Children
StatAxis is intended for professional and general audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children for independent account creation. If you believe a child has provided personal information to StatAxis, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
12. International processing
Depending on the infrastructure and service providers used, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you access StatAxis. We take reasonable steps to ensure that such processing is subject to appropriate contractual, technical or legal safeguards where required.
13. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or consent withdrawal. Contact stax9@stataxis.org to make a request. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, data practices, legal obligations or third-party integrations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate website or service notices where required.
